About This Course

English is the working language of international education: of Erasmus+ project reports, of international collaboration, of most professional development resources. For teachers whose working language is not English, or whose English has grown rusty, a lack of confidence is a genuine professional barrier.

This course is designed specifically for education professionals who want to develop their English in a professional context. It is not a general language course. It focuses on the specific English teachers need: for professional development, classroom instruction, educational discourse and international communication.

Participants work in small groups with a maximum of 15 people with an experienced teacher specialising in English for professional purposes.

Who Should Attend

  • Teachers who want to improve professional English for Erasmus+ and international collaboration
  • Education professionals planning to attend English-medium professional development courses
  • Teachers in bilingual programmes who want to strengthen their English
  • School leaders communicating in English with international partners
  • Minimum A2 level. Designed for B1 and B2 learners.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

  • Communicate confidently and effectively in English in professional educational contexts.

You will have spoken English in a wide range of professional contexts: presenting a lesson, explaining your teaching philosophy, participating in professional discussions and giving and receiving feedback on professional work.
