About This Course
The EU expects Centres of Vocational Excellence to develop an entrepreneurial culture within VET organisations including leaders, staff, teachers, trainers and learners. Entrepreneurship education is now a professional responsibility for VET trainers across every sector.
The EU EntreComp framework maps the fifteen entrepreneurship competences that VET institutions are expected to develop. The Union of Skills initiative places entrepreneurial thinking at the centre of Europe's skills agenda for the coming decade.
This course gives VET professionals a thorough, inspiring and practically grounded introduction to entrepreneurship and innovation education in VET, aligned with EntreComp, the Herning Declaration and the EU Centres of Vocational Excellence framework.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course participants will be able to:
Explain the EntreComp framework and apply it to VET curriculum design and learner assessment.
You will use EntreComp as a curriculum planning tool to identify which of the fifteen competences your current programme develops and which it needs to strengthen.
Design challenge-based learning experiences that develop entrepreneurial competences in vocational contexts.
Entrepreneurial competences need to be practiced through real challenges. You will design a challenge-based learning experience that develops multiple EntreComp competences simultaneously within a vocational context.
Connect your institution's entrepreneurship work to the EU Centres of Vocational Excellence framework.
Centres of Vocational Excellence require entrepreneurship and innovation to be central to institutional culture. You will understand what CoVE status requires and how your institution can work towards it.
Use design thinking and innovation methodologies with VET learners across vocational sectors.
Design thinking is a practical problem-solving approach applicable to every vocational sector. You will have experience of using it yourself and a process for introducing it with learners.
