About This Course
The digital transformation of vocational education and training is no longer a distant prospect. AI tools, immersive technologies, digital assessment platforms and automated feedback systems are already reshaping how VET is delivered and how VET graduates are expected to perform in the workplace.
This course gives VET teachers and trainers a thorough, practical and immediately applicable grounding in AI and digital tools for vocational education. Participants explore the most relevant technologies for their specific vocational sector, develop confidence in evaluating and using these tools pedagogically, and design digital-enhanced training activities ready to implement on their return.
The course is aligned with the Herning Declaration on VET 2026 to 2030, DigComp 3.0, DigCompEdu and the Erasmus+ Digital Transformation priority.
Who Should Attend
- VET teachers and trainers wanting to integrate AI and digital tools
- VET institution managers developing digital transformation strategies
- In-company trainers modernising workplace training delivery
- VET curriculum developers integrating digital tools
- No advanced technical knowledge required
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course participants will be able to:
Evaluate AI and digital tools for your vocational sector and make evidence-based adoption decisions.
You will test at least ten tools across VET functions: lesson planning, content creation, formative assessment, learner feedback and workplace simulation. For each you will assess pedagogical value, cost, data protection and sector relevance.
Design digitally enhanced VET training activities that develop learners' digital occupational competences.
The best digital integration in VET is invisible: learners use technology because it is how the work is actually done. You will design activities where digital tools are an authentic part of the vocational context.
Apply DigCompEdu and DigComp 3.0 to assess and develop digital competences in yourself and your learners.
Both frameworks give you a precise EU-validated language for describing digital competence development in Erasmus+ reports and quality documentation.
Connect digital transformation in VET to the Herning Declaration and EU twin transition agenda.
The Herning Declaration makes digital transformation one of five strategic priorities for European VET to 2030. You will position your institution's digital development within this framework for Erasmus+ applications.
